The theme at Chevrolets press conference was its Brand Transformation campaign which it describes as a corporate facelift, comprising a makeover of its image and services to improve customer awareness and confidence. The Brand Transformation campaign made its debut at the motor show today. Newly appointed President of General Motors South East Asia Operations Co Ltd and Chevrolet Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd, Martin Apfel, who in fact only arrived in the country on Monday, said: With an aim to leverage the quality of services and overall management, including the organisations public image, we strive too promote customer confidence in the Chevrolet brand. This covers launches of new model line-ups in the near future. New models to arrive this year will include the Colorado pickup with some minor changes and more sportier equipment for the Captiva SUV. A special-edition Captiva in a pearl-white paint finish formed the focal point of the stand. Another significant debut at the sh ow was the four-door sedan version of Fords Fiesta, the first time the car has been seen in the country. The five door Fiesta debuted at the Bangkok Motor Expo in December and both cars are being built at Fords new 0 million production plant in Rayong. The new Fiesta will hit the showrooms in the third quarter of the year.
